In order to streamline your visit, we recommend you call us to make an appointment. We aim to provide a same day appointment for all new injuries and this could save you  from a lengthy  wait in your local Emergency Department.

• Referral (if you have one)
• All X-Rays, Ultrasounds, CT Scans & other tests (including images and reports if you have them) that you have had in relation to your injury
• Medicare Card
• Private Health Insurance card (if you have one)
• WorkCover or CTP Insurnace Claims details (if applicable)

• Our Norwest practice is located a 650m walk from Bella Vista Metro Station. There are also multiple bus routes servicing the area
• Our Narellan practice is located 200-metres from Narellan Town Centre
• Both of our practices are wheelchair accessible

Through a collaboration with Synergy Radiology (Norwest) and I-Med Radiology (Narellan), we are able to offer our patients the convenience of on-site X-Ray,  Ultrasound, CT & MRI at our Norwest and Narellan locations.

One-Off Gap Payment Per Injury

It has become necessary for The Injury Centre to introduce a small gap payment. This is due to increased costs associated with the delivery of our service, including significant cost increases from our medical consumables suppliers and Medicare Benefits Scheme (Medicare) rebates not keeping pace with the true costs of high-quality health care. We have avoided introducing a gap-payment for as long as possible, however it has become necessary if we are to continue to deliver the high standard of specialist care provided by our service.

We have aimed to keep this gap payment to a minimum, whilst still being able to deliver rapid access to the highest quality urgent care and access to Specialist Orthopaedic/Hand Surgeon and Emergency Medicine Specialist treatment.

At your first consultation you will be charged an $95 consultation fee.  Depending on the length of your consultation and the clinician you see, you may be entitled to a rebate from Medicare (typically $37.15). If you are entitled to a rebate from Medicare we can generally process this for you at the time of payment. All subsequent follow-up consultations in our practice that attract a Medicare rebate will be Bulk-Billed.  This includes your consultations with our Specialists and Nurse Practitioners.

Depending on your injury, you may require a cast, CAM Walker (Moon Boot), crutches or other immobilisation device. Some of these items may have a cost associated with them, if you choose to purchase such an item from us. We will advise you of any potential equipment costs at your consultation and you are under no obligation to purchase these from us. We do however aim to keep the cost of our consumables at the lowest possible price for our patients.

Unfortunately, Medicare does not provide a rebate for our Physiotherapy consultations. If you require a follow-up appointment with one of our Physiotherapists there is a flat consultation fee of $20 per Physiotherapist appointment. If you choose to use your Private Health Insurance Physiotherapy cover, we will accept your Health Fund's rebate in place of the $20 fee.

Please be aware that we do not provide medico-legal reports, including those associated with insurance claims/applications. We can however send a letter to your referring doctor or regular GP informing them of the details of your appointment with us including your injury and our recommended treatment plan.

We will happily provide you with a standard Sickness/Injury Certificate if we consider you unable to attend work or school due to your injury, however we do not complete assessment forms related to specific work duties or other activities.
